Any motivation to have some chat channels for this project? I do lurk #borgbackup on freenode on IRC and it's a very nice resource for discussiona and troubleshooting. Should Borgmatic also have this? That would be useful IMHO. Could link from documentation then over athttps://torsion.org/borgmatic/#support-and-contributing.

I'm willing to give it a shot, but I honestly don't know if there'd be enough activity to sustain a borgmatic-specific channel. So, a couple of different ideas:

1. Piggyback on the existing #borgbackup channel, and just make it clear that it's not borgmatic-specific.
2. Or, start a borgmatic-specific channel.

Personally, I'm more inclined to start with option 1, and then see if there's enough traffic/interest to merit breaking off to a separate channel.

Thoughts? I'll also ask on #borgbackup, in case anyone there has strong opinions either way.

Well if we're talking IRC, it's almost zero effort to make a #borgmatic channel and see how it goes. But you would know best regarding activity etc. Feel free to close this one off when you make a decision!
